Program Evaluation

The evaluation of the MU-EMU International Joint Medicine Program (IJMP) is carried out in accordance with the program evaluation system established for the IJMP.

The objective of the program evaluation system is to assess the six-year medical education process and the post-graduation phase using multiple evaluation methods and tools in a multidimensional and systematic manner. It aims to periodically revise the curriculum based on evaluation results and contribute to the establishment of a culture of continuous assessment, renewal, and improvement in education.

The goals of the program evaluation system are outlined as follows:

  1. Evaluate the Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 education periods and their curricula (courses, internships, PBL, SGDs, elective programs) in terms of the program structure, implementation processes, context, and outcomes.
  2. Assess the effectiveness of the preclinical program in preparing students for the clinical education phase and the clinical program's capacity to prepare students for their professional careers.
  3. Evaluate the six-year education process in terms of infrastructure and facilities, administrative processes, and the faculty environment/climate.
  4. Assess the artistic and cultural activities offered to students outside the educational program within the university and faculty.
  5. Evaluate the scientific events and social responsibility projects conducted by students and student clubs outside the educational curriculum.
  6. Assess the processes and impacts of the social, academic, and educational counseling services provided to students during the six-year education period.
  7. Monitor students' emotional, social, and mental well-being and develop new plans to meet emerging needs.
  8. Track the professional development processes of graduates and analyze them for program evaluation purposes.
  9. Identify the societal impacts of the joint program based on the approach of social accountability.
