All AnnouncementsAnnouncement on Attendance Requirements and Obligations
Published Date: Friday, 24 July 2026
Dear Students,
Effective from the 2026–2027 Academic Year, the following attendance requirements will apply at our Faculty:
A minimum attendance rate of 70% for theoretical courses,
A minimum attendance rate of 80% for practical/laboratory sessions, skills training, and similar applied educational activities.
Health reports submitted by students serve as documentation of a medical excuse; however, they do not exempt students from the attendance requirements. Periods covered by a medical report will be considered within the attendance calculation according to the attendance percentages specified for the relevant course or educational activity.
For laboratory sessions, skills training, Problem-Based Learning (PBL) sessions, and similar educational activities that require direct participation and cannot be academically compensated, make-up training or make-up sessions will not be provided. Students who fail to meet the attendance requirements for such activities will be considered not to have fulfilled the attendance requirements of the relevant course, block, or clerkship.
In cases of prolonged hospitalization, serious health conditions documented by a medical board report, or exceptional circumstances deemed justified and necessary by the Faculty Board, the student's situation may be evaluated on an individual basis by the Faculty Board, taking into consideration the opinions of the relevant coordination committee and Department.
Students are kindly requested to regularly monitor their attendance status and comply with the attendance requirements specified in the educational program.
