18th National Marmara University Medical Students Congress

Eastern Mediterranean University Dr. Fazıl Küçük Medical Faculty students represented EMU at the 18th National Marmara University Medical Students Congress held in Istanbul on 11-13 May 2018 to present their research studies conducted with the supervision of their advisors in the academic year 2017-2018.
In the Congress, EMU Dr. Fazıl Küçük Medical School 2nd year student Moomen Ashraf Hassan has received the second place in Oral Presentations on Observational Studies with their study titled as 'Waterpipe Tobacco Smoking: A Cross-Sectional Study among University Students on Prevalence, Awareness and Contributing Factors in TRNC, 2018' under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. N. İlke Akçay. In addition, EMU Dr. Fazıl Küçük Medical School 2nd year student Ahmed Nazim Canatan has received the second place in Poster Presentations on Society and Health Determinants with their study titled as 'Attitudes Towards Animal Experimentation among University Students in EMU-TRNC: A Cross-Sectional Study' under the supervision of Dr. Berfu Çerçi Öngün.
EMU Medical students who participated in the congress with the support of EMU Rectorate stated that; they are happy for both receiving awards in the congress, and being in Marmara University Medical Faculty, in which they will get the 2nd phase of their medical education.
