EMU Has Organized a White Coat Ceremony and Celebrated the Medicine Day

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Faculty of Medicine celebrated 14 March medicine day and the White Coat Ceremony on Friday at the EMU Dr. Fazil Kucuk Conference salon. The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Teaching Staff and Students attended the Wreath hanging at Ataturk Square before the event. TRNC President Dr. Dervis Eroglu and TRNC Minister of Health Dr. Ahmet Gul attended the event that began with short speeches from Omer Can Ozkan and Nkechinyere Angela Azinta.

After the student speeches, the opening speeches were delivered by the Dean of EMU's Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Nahide Gokcora, Dr. Dervis Eroglu, Rector Abdullah Y. Oztoprak and Dr Abdullah Gul. After the speeches, lecturer Assoc. Prof. Ozgur Kasimay delivered a lecture entitled "First Class" and Prof Dr. Iskender Sayek delivered his lecture entitled "Good Medicine". Students were awarded with white coats given by Dr. Dervis Eroglu, Dr Ahmet Gul, Prof. Dr. Nahide Gokcora, Prof Dr. Iskender Sayek and Ismail Arter.
